Slightly strange feeling waking up knowing I didn’t have to do the usual packing up routine but nice to be able to take it easy. 

 

Made the most of the good internet to do a bit of planning and research for the stretch ahead, earmarking some potential camping spots. After eating last night’s leftover pizza I made my way to the lake for a swim and a sunbathe. The good thing about the hiker/biker spots being at the far end was access to a separate secluded cove, away from the masses who arrive by car. 

 

Cycled over to the shop to pick up a few bits and saw Tony, who had been at the Warmshowers place in Pinedale. Later Steve appeared and the Dutch couple I’d met in Colorado - full reunion of lots of faces from further down the trail. 

 

Made some dinner and had an early night ready to get back to it tomorrow.
