Day 4 - Blythe - Hope

I was up and away early, as despite last night’s hospitality, with that crowd gone I was essentially camping in the garden of the trailers next door. Pretty frustrating morning trying to source a replacement cable for the one I’d managed to lose - took until the forth shop to actually find one. I’d taken a risk on a detour to avoid some of the interstate riding. It kind of paid off but was very rocky and slow going.

Began feeling the effects of the sun which wasn’t helped by the earmarked lunch stop being closed. Out of options before the RV park I was due to stay at, I suddenly noticed a cafe open on the roundabout. It wasn’t until I got inside that I realised it was an Indian restaurant with the full compliment of first, second and third generation Indian-Americans. What a treat to find some genuinely fresh cooked, lovely food in such an improbable location and it turned out they’d only opened that week. Stayed at an RV Park which was fine, although a little odd as it was virtually deserted (pardon the pun). Lovely sunset.
